Throughout the Ghost of Yotei area, you’ll discover five Reliquary puzzles. Solving each one enhances the Charm of Mount Yotei, a valuable item that lowers the damage you receive while healing after a Perfect Parry. This charm is incredibly useful, but even without its benefits, completing each puzzle is worthwhile.
This guide will show you where to find each Reliquary in Ghost of Yotei, and explain how to solve all of the puzzles.
Reliquary of Courage, Yotei Grasslands
A young boy found himself lost and all by himself. Fortunately, wolves appeared from all directions, leading the way. They fixed their gaze on the real Mount Yotei.
If you follow the four dirt paths from the reliquary, you’ll discover four wolf statues that can be rotated. To solve the puzzles, simply turn each statue to face Mount Yotei-that’s what the game means when it refers to the “true mountain.” Otherwise, any mention of “the mountain” actually refers to the reliquary itself.
Reliquary of Resilience, Tokachi Range
“Deep inside the caves of Mount Yotei, a young boy fell into an exhausted sleep. Wolves kept watch, their gaze fixed on the mountain.”
To solve this, you just need to turn each wolf statue so it faces the reliquary in the middle. Here’s the catch: every time you turn a statue 90 degrees, the statue to its right will turn 180 degrees. It’s not too difficult – just go to each statue and point it towards the center. After you’ve gotten all the statues facing towards or away from the center, it’s easy to position the rest correctly.
Reliquary of Strength, Ishikari Plain
The mountain nurtured the boy, essentially raising him as if he were her child. Even demons avoided them, overcome with fear. However, a wolf kept a watchful eye on the pair, prepared to help if needed.
Here, three of the four wolf statues have on demonic Tengu masks, while just one does not. The wolves with masks should face away from the center, and the single wolf without a mask should look toward the center. Similar to the previous puzzle, each quarter turn you make will cause the statue to its right to rotate halfway.
Reliquary of Compassion, Teshio Ridge (Chilled Peak Shrine)
“Feeling sorry for the homeless boy, the mountain warmed him with its fire. The wolves watched from nearby, their eyes fixed on the glowing hearth.”
This reliquary can be found in Chilled Peak Shrine. To start, you’ll need to use Fire Arrows to light the braziers beneath each wolf statue – this will keep you from freezing. The puzzle functions similarly to the Reliquary of Resilience, requiring all wolves to face the center. However, there’s a twist: when you turn a statue 90 degrees, the statue immediately to its left will rotate 180 degrees.
Reliquary of Faith, Oshima Coast
“He created his own good fortune, becoming a man through his own efforts. And so, those born near Mount Yotei will seek real strength from the mountain itself.”
This puzzle is the most challenging because one statue is inaccessible. The central statue spins all three statues you *can* reach. The left and right statues, however, rotate themselves, the statue you can’t reach, *and* the middle statue. The goal is to have all statues facing Yotei, and we achieved this by following this sequence:
Middle, Right, Left, Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Middle, Right, Middle.
