Hey there, fellow Star Trek gaming enthusiasts! I’ve got some exciting news for you. This year, WizKids unveiled a new deckbuilding game, Star Trek: Captain’s Chair, that allows us to live out our captainly dreams in the Star Trek universe. As the captain of one of six iconic characters from Star Trek’s rich history, you’ll be using your very own unique deck of cards, tailored to each captain’s distinctive personality. The initial lineup includes Jean-Luc Picard, Benjamin Sisko, Michael Burnham, Sela the Romulan Commander, Koloth the Klingon Dahar Master, and Thy’lek Shran from Andoria.
Just recently, WizKids unveiled the last two commanders for the game Star Trek: Captain’s Chair – To Boldly Go, along with an affirmation of a third commander from Star Trek: Captain’s Chair – Second Contact. In this new version, not only can you choose to play as Captain Kirk and Khan, but also as Jonathan Archer or Soval from Star Trek: Enterprise. This announcement follows the already revealed Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek: Discovery and Rebner from Star Trek: Lower Decks. It’s important to note that this is a self-contained game that can be played independently or combined with other games in the Star Trek: Captain’s Chair series.
In the game “Star Trek: Captain’s Chair – Second Contact“, we’re thrilled to disclose that you’ll have the opportunity to take on the role of William T. Riker, captain of the U.S.S. Titan, and a former first officer on the Enterprise-D. This is Riker, as portrayed in the popular animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks“, voiced by his original actor, Jonathan Frakes. Riker will be joining Captain Carol Freeman of the U.S.S. Cerritos, and Captain Christopher Pike of the U.S.S. Enterprise in “Strange New Worlds“. Riker is among the captains, including Carol Freeman and Christopher Pike, who have already been announced for the game.
