Upcoming anime adaptation of the light novel series “Playing Death Games to Earn a Living,” penned by Yūshi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometal, has unveiled its main team and a projected release date in 2026. Additionally, fans were treated to a sneak peek at the design for the character Yuuki, who can be seen donning a maid’s uniform.
The upcoming anime is set to be helmed by director Takehiro Ueno, recognized for his work on “Days With My Stepsister.” Studio DEEN takes charge of production duties. The screenplay will be penned by Rintarou Ikeda, who has previously worked on “The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement.” Character design will be handled by Eri Osada, while Noriyoshi Konuma will supervise the sound direction.
Publisher Yen Press has secured the rights for the third installment of the popular light novel series, set to debut on February 18th. The narrative revolves around the character Yuuki, who finds himself mysteriously awakening inside an unfamiliar manor, adorned in a maid’s attire.

This release followed its victory at the 18th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Award. Notably, this series has achieved great success, claiming the top spot in the ‘New Title’ category of Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! rankings for 2024.
Starting from April 2023, a manga series by Banzai Kotobuki Daienkai began publication in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine. By December of the same year, the second volume was already released, and fans can expect the third volume to hit shelves in February 2024.
