Get Ready for Magic! Witch Watch Episode1: Release Date, Nico’s Homecoming, and Where to Stream

Created by Bibury Animation Studios, the upcoming anime titled “Witch Watch” is based on Kenta Shinohara’s manga. This Spring 2025 marks its debut, with a planned run of two seasons (or “cours”). The story revolves around Nico Wakatsuki, a young girl who has completed her training as a witch and is now prepared to put her skills into practice.

Despite her eagerness, her hasty use of magic frequently leads to unexpected outcomes. She is teamed up with Morihito Otogi, an ogre and childhood friend, due to an ancestral agreement. Together they encounter numerous otherworldly dangers, but Nico views their alliance as an opportunity for romance.

According to the official site, the first episode of Witch Watch is named ‘The Return of the Witch.’ This initial installment focuses on Morihito Otogi, a boy endowed with ogre abilities, as he encounters Nico, who has recently completed her witch training. As a result of an ancient agreement, they decide to cohabit.

As Morihito readies herself to shield her from a foretold disaster, Nico is eager to renew their connection. The show initially presents its main characters, their dwellings, and the frequent comedic turbulence Nico stirs up, setting the stage for their enchanting and unforeseeable daily existence.

In Japan, episode 1 of the Witch Watch series is set to debut on April 6, 2025, at 5:00 pm (Japan Standard Time). The exact release time may differ depending on regions and time zones. Japanese viewers can tune in through channels like JNN (including MBS and TBS).
