George RR Martin Says THIS Character From Fire & Blood May ‘Never’ Appear In House Of The Dragon Season 3

In the story “The Hound of Averages” by Martin and in the book, “Jaehara”, the author has a question about the accuracy of some of his works.

A classic example:

In a now-deleted blog post, Martin confirmed that one of the major characters from Fire & Blood will not make it into the series adaptation—Maelor Targaryen, the youngest son of Aegon and Helaena. “If you have never read Fire & Blood, maybe it does not matter, because all I am going to ‘spoil’ here are things that may NEVER happen on the series,” the author wrote.

It appears that you have rephrased the original statement in a more easily understood manner: Martin’s sons, Maelor MIA and Aegon’s offspring were astonished to see if they’d ever appear on the show in future seasons. However, it seems that Martin’s younger son by Aegon and Helaena would never emerge

In the books, Maelor played a significant part, particularly during the notorious Blood and Cheese incident. When the ex-butcher and rat-catcher invaded Queen Helaena’s chambers, they presented her with an agonizing choice: to spare either Maelor or Jaehaerys. She opted for Jaehaerys, but unfortunately, they ended up slaying the other son and informed Maelor that his mother wished him dead

The King’s Ransom

When Rhaenyra seizes control of King’s Landing and ascends the throne, Maelor is dispatched alongside Rickard Thorne to Oldtown, while Helaena’s daughter Jaehara is placed under Willis Fell’s protection who escorts her to the Baratheons. Notably, Jaehara arrives safely at Storm’s End, but Rickard Throne is exposed as a Kingsguard in a tavern known as the Hogs Head

It appears that Prince Maelor is being torn from his limbs… and then, sorrowfully, shred to fragments by the crowd battling boisterously over the youth and the vast prize that Rhine-land has proffered for his capture and withdrawal: Martin pens in the manuscript
