George Clooney revealed the secret to his happy marriage with Amal Clooney in a recent interview. He told CBS News that, surprisingly, he and Amal have never actually argued – not even a single time.
George chuckled, recalling that people always doubt him when he tells them something. “Everyone gets annoyed when I say it,” he said, “but we’ve never even had a disagreement or a fight.”
He believes the key to happiness is letting go of minor annoyances. He used to get caught up in being right about everything – even something as simple as a wall color, as he recalled. Now, he’s much more relaxed. “If my wife wants to paint the wall red, that’s perfectly fine with me,” he explained.
George explained he’s reached a point in life where he doesn’t find arguing worthwhile. He described having a strong relationship built on mutual support, saying, “When you care about someone, you just don’t sweat the small stuff.”
He acknowledged that he might have reacted differently in the past. He explained that he used to be the type of person who would boast about things, but now he feels indifferent and doesn’t feel the need to do so.
George and Amal Clooney, married since 2014, generally prefer to keep their personal lives out of the spotlight. However, a recent look into their relationship reveals that they prioritize being kind and understanding each other over always needing to be correct.
