On June 3, General Hospital viewers witnessed an unexpected twist: Joss testified in the custody fight between Michael and Willow, shocking everyone. Her testimony suggested that Willow had manipulated Michael’s recovery from burns to her advantage. This bombshell revelation reshaped the courtroom atmosphere and sparked fresh doubts about family ties and trustworthiness.
At the onset of the child custody trial, Diane Fuller contended that Michael should be granted sole custody of their children. She summoned Carly and Chase to testify. Carly detailed an incident where Willow and Drew attempted to seize the children during the wee hours of the night.
As a devoted follower, I can share that she confided in me about the arduous task of looking after weary kids and how Michael hadn’t given the green light for our Washington, D.C. excursion. Chase, being in the know, verified that he was instructed to whisk the children away from Willow. In a moment of honesty, he confessed Willow had been romantically involved with Michael, lending credence to the claim that her decision-making abilities might have been tainted by emotions.
Next up, it was Dante Falconeri’s turn to speak. He stated that the gadget found in Sonny’s penthouse wasn’t meant for Michael; instead, it was a misunderstanding. Ric Lansing, acting on behalf of Willow, probed Dante about Michael’s earlier conviction for involuntary manslaughter. In response, Dante made it clear that Michael was only defending his sister Kristina in that case.
Later on, Tracy Quartermaine stepped up to testify. She spoke in support of Michael’s moral character and voiced her disapproval towards Drew Cain’s role in the matter. However, Ric managed to make Tracy acknowledge her past accusation of kidnapping, although she emphasized that this trial was centered around Willow’s suitability as a mother.
The surprising peak of the episode came when Diane unexpectedly took the stand to testify against Joss. Since she wasn’t initially included in the list of witnesses, Ric had an opportunity to throw Diane off balance by not allowing her enough time to prepare thoroughly. On the stand, Joss admitted that Willow had used Michael’s burns as leverage in their negotiations.
Joss asserted that Willow prohibited the family from visiting Michael until she regained legal custody of her kids, and Drew was reportedly in agreement with this decision. Ric attempted to raise questions about Carly’s involvement in taking the children away, but Joss countered by stating that Carly had a legitimate court order, and the children were at Nina’s residence when they were removed.
Previously, in the show, Joss made an appearance at the Metro Court pool alongside Trina and Kai. However, Emma challenged Joss regarding an old work disagreement. Later, Joss encountered Henry Dalton and his associates, Sidwell and Jordan. Impressed by Joss’s background check, Henry mentioned he was engaged in renewable energy studies, financed by Sidwell. Eventually, Jordan decided to stick around and delve deeper into the project details.
At the Quartermaine estate, Gio Spencer came back to collect his items. He confronted Brook Lynn over being surrendered as a newborn. Brook Lynn clarified she had given him up for adoption out of affection. Lois and Gloria justified their decision to withhold information from Gio until then because his adoptive mother was terminally ill. Hurt by the secrecy, Brook Lynn asked them to depart. Gio exited, questioning if he could rely on anyone anymore.
In the town of Port Charles, Alexis Davis found herself in a tense discussion with Marco. He expressed worries about questionable financial dealings linked to the Douloss Fund, specifically money laundering suspicions. However, Alexis confidently assured him that every investment made was above board and legal.
Upon receiving a call from Ric, Alexis hastened towards the courthouse in an attempt to prevent Kristina from taking the witness stand. Ultimately, it was decided that Kristina would forgo testifying due to recent court appearances bringing up distressing memories, and she opted to stay with Alexis instead.
Simultaneously at Sonny Corinthos’s penthouse, Dante expressed regret for the previous misunderstandings and departed to attend Michael’s trial. Later, Lois shared that she and Gloria would be heading back to Bensonhurst. She explained Gio required some distance and support from Sonny, to which Sonny pledged to keep an eye on him.
