In another location, Carly remains at the hospital following a near-fatal incident involving polonium poisoning. This situation arises due to Brennan, as it was actually intended for Brennan that Valentin had tried to poison by tampering with his drink, which unfortunately Carly drank instead.
Jason and Carly share a deep, lengthy relationship; they aren’t just close friends, but were once romantic partners as well. Given his concerns about Carly’s safety due to her connections with someone like Brenann, Jason feels compelled to watch over her as a friend.
