Anna summons Jack to her office, not regarding work business but a private issue. She shares with him the case of Henry Dalton, who in the past made students in California sign confidentiality agreements and expelled them for breaching his lab. She’s worried about his cold fusion research now that he’s at PCU. Jack thinks Anna might be exaggerating, given Emma’s involvement, and declines to offer assistance.

Afterward, Felicia pays a visit to Anna. Anna confesses that she continues to feel remorseful for having missed significant aspects of Robin’s life and might be excessively making up for it. However, Anna also perceives Dalton as potentially harmful and seeks Felicia’s assistance.

At the pool of Metro Court, Gio serves as a lifeguard and confides in Emma about his perplexity. Eventually, Ezra shows up and initiates a live broadcast of the chat, which leads Gio to inadvertently shove him into the pool, causing Laura to chuckle.

In the meantime, Jack alerts Vaughn that Anna has figured out Dalton’s plan. It’s crucial that Dalton completes his project since the WSB wants to get their hands on it. Vaughn decides to deal with Anna himself, considering Joss as unsuitable for involvement due to her lack of experience.

Lucky catches Liz off guard by planning a heartfelt lunch date to mark the occasion of her cast being removed. He then pops the question, articulating his enduring affection.
