Paramount+ is creating a brand new animated series starring Garfield, the famous orange cat created by Jim Davis.
Nickelodeon Animation Studios is creating a new 2D animated series currently known as ‘Garfield.’ Lamorne Morris, an Emmy Award winner, will be providing the voice for the famous, lasagna-eating cat.
This new series revives Garfield for television, highlighting the witty and famously lazy personality that made the comic strip so popular.

Lamorne Morris Voices Garfield
Lamorne Morris, known for his work on shows like New Girl and Fargo (where he won an Emmy), will be the voice of Garfield in the new series.
Morris will also be in the new Spider-Noir series coming to Prime Video, and is currently filming the fourth Jumanji movie.
Besides acting, Morris co-hosts two podcasts: The Lamorning After with Kyle Shevrin, and The Mess Around, where he revisits the show New Girl with his former co-star Hannah Simone.
Nickelodeon Producing The Series
The Garfield series is being produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios.
Dave H. Johnson and John Trabbic III will be the executive producers on the project. Both have worked on Middlemost Post, and Trabbic also has credits on SpongeBob SquarePants.
Paramount+ says the series will showcase Garfield at his most charming, with each episode full of his classic wit and relaxed personality.

Part Of Paramount+ Kids Expansion
The Garfield series will expand Paramount+’s kids and family programming lineup.
The streaming service has approved several new shows for kids, such as ‘The Elephant & Piggie Show!’ and ‘The Pigeon Show!’ featuring The Pigeon.
The latest Garfield series is coming to Paramount+, strengthening the platform’s growing collection of family-friendly shows and movies.
