Gal Gadot Reveals the Role She Wants to Reprise — Fans Aren’t Having It

Gal Gadot would consider reprising her role as the Evil Queen, though the response from fans has been largely negative.

While accepting the Hollywood Icon Award at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala in Beverly Hills, actress Gal Gadot told Us Weekly she’d be very interested in reprising her role as a villain in a future project.

Gadot playfully suggested that Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, should hear her offer, saying, “I’ll do it – tell Bob!”

She made these statements several months after Disney released its live-action version of the classic film Snow White, which originally came out in 1937.

Rachel Zegler played Snow White in the movie, and Gal Gadot was the Queen. Although the film had a big budget, it wasn’t successful with audiences or at the box office. It received a lot of attention due to significant changes from the original fairytale, discussions about the actors chosen for the roles, and political statements made by some of the leads.

The project ended up being labeled a box-office disappointment.

The initial response to the idea of a spinoff movie focusing on the Evil Queen was overwhelmingly negative online. After Gal Gadot mentioned the possibility, social media users quickly voiced their disapproval with many harsh comments. Some examples included requests for trigger warnings when her face appeared, jokes about Gadot threatening a return, and accusations that a sequel would be a disaster and an embarrassment. Many users bluntly stated the original film had failed and expressed a complete lack of interest in seeing more content with this character.

Gal Gadot has said she’d be interested in playing the character again, but fans are divided on whether they want to see more stories in that universe. As of now, Disney hasn’t announced any sequels or spin-offs.
