Currently, Gal Gadot is among the most prominent figures in Hollywood, yet not every venture in her professional journey has been a cherished moment. Prior to donning the cape as Wonder Woman and appearing in films like “Fast X”, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, and “The Flash”, Gadot was still accepting minor roles during the early stages of her career.
Reflecting upon my past, I must confess that my cameo on the beloved HBO show “Entourage” in 2009 ranks amongst my most trying acting experiences.
In the summer of 2025, during an appearance on “The A Talks,” a popular talk show airing on Channel Keshet 12, Gal Gadot shared insights about her experience working on the TV series “Entourage.
In a candid admission, Gal Gadot shared that her time on the Entourage set was far from pleasant. She disclosed that one person’s unprofessional conduct became intolerable to such an extent that she decided to quit the set and ended her association with them.
As a dedicated film enthusiast, let me share that one of my all-time favorite TV shows from the 2000s was none other than Entourage. This captivating series, brainchild of Doug Ellin, boasted executive production by Mark Wahlberg and graced our screens from 2004 to 2011. The show centered around Vincent Chase, an aspiring young actor navigating the tumultuous world of Hollywood, accompanied by his tight-knit group of childhood buddies who stood by him through it all.

5. The show brought together laughter and tears, creating a passionate fanbase in no time. Critics admired its clever comedy and engaging drama, with Jeremy Piven’s portrayal of Ari Gold generating lots of buzz within the TV community.
Although Gadot found the set to be far from pleasant, she didn’t disclose specifics about the individual or the incident. However, it was evident that the situation was severe enough for her to decide to leave. It’s not common for Gadot to express dissatisfaction with past projects, so this revelation stands out particularly.
During that period, Gadot was still new in the acting world, and securing a spot on a popular HBO series could have been a significant breakthrough. However, the experience turned out to be disappointing for her, leading to her reluctance to continue working on it. Her frankness underscores the fact that, even in the glamorous Hollywood scene, backstage conduct can significantly influence an actor’s perspective on a project.
In spite of her poor memory, Gadot swiftly moved on to greater successes. Within a few short years, she became part of the Fast & Furious series, and by 2017, she had etched herself into Hollywood lore as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe.
As a cinephile looking back, I must confess that Entourage remains etched in my memory as one of HBO’s shining stars. However, watching Gal Gadot’s career trajectory serves as a stark reminder – fame and glory on screen doesn’t always translate to the same off-camera experiences.
