‘One-Punch Man’ (2015– )

One-Punch Man is a funny and action-packed series based on a webcomic and manga by Yusuke Murata. It centers around Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any enemy with just one punch, but finds his life surprisingly dull as a result. The first season, produced by Madhouse, came out in 2015, followed by a second season from J.C.Staff in 2019. The third season, also by J.C.Staff, began airing in October 2025, and where you can watch it depends on your region. The show is widely available around the world and remains a very popular and well-known anime today.
‘Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!’ (2025– )

This charming fantasy romance follows a noblewoman with a passion for cooking monster-themed dishes and a duke known for his fierce reputation. The story blends exciting culinary adventures with the complexities of royal court life. The anime, produced by Asahi Production, finally premiered in October 2025 after being postponed from its original spring release. Viewers outside of Japan can stream it on Crunchyroll, while Ani-One Asia distributes it throughout Southeast Asia. Details about the production staff and where to watch are available through official listings.
‘My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s’ (2025– )

A new anime turns the typical fantasy story on its head when the summoned assassin proves to be more powerful than the kingdom’s chosen hero. Produced by TMS Entertainment with animation by Sunrise, the series premiered in October 2025 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. It’s based on a popular light novel and manga originally published in Japan by Overlap, and now available in English from Seven Seas. Promotional materials focus on the show’s music and when new episodes air each week.
‘A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai’ (2025– )

This anime, based on the light novel ‘Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokōki,’ follows a character who journeys to another world to collect materials and craft items, focusing on gathering resources instead of combat. Produced by Tatsunoko Production and SynergySP, it began airing in October 2025 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Muse Asia also broadcasts the show in certain regions.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ (2020– )

As a huge animation fan, I’ve been completely hooked by Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s a really dark and exciting action series created by MAPPA, and it follows Yuji Itadori, who gets thrown into the world of jujutsu sorcerers after accidentally swallowing a cursed relic. The first season came out in late 2020 and ran through early 2021, and the second season aired from July to December 2023. I’m already counting down the days until season three, which is set to premiere in Japan in January 2026 – it’s going to cover the ‘Culling Game’ arc! And if you haven’t already, you absolutely have to check out the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 – it’s fantastic!
‘My Hero Academia’ (2016– )

My Hero Academia, created by Kohei Horikoshi and animated by Bones, premiered in April 2016. The series follows Izuku Midoriya as he trains at U.A. High School in a world where most people have superpowers, called “Quirks.” It’s been running for several seasons, along with movies and special episodes, and is available on TV and streaming services in Japan and around the world. Crunchyroll streams the show in many countries, and it continues to be incredibly popular globally.
‘Solo Leveling’ (2024– )

Based on a popular web novel by Chugong, this anime follows Sung Jinwoo, a weak hunter who suddenly gains a powerful ability called the “System,” allowing him to become incredibly strong. The first season was produced by A-1 Pictures and aired from January to March 2024, with the second season following in January–March 2025. The series has won several awards, including at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, and is still growing with new content. Crunchyroll handles the anime’s distribution.
‘May I Ask for One Final Thing?’ (2025– )

This fantasy romance, inspired by the AlphaPolis light novels, follows Scarlet, a noblewoman who dramatically changes her life – and gets revenge on those who wronged her – after a very public and embarrassing breakup. The anime series is created by Liden Films Kyoto Studio and began airing in October 2025. In Asia, Muse Asia is distributing the show, while Crunchyroll is handling its release in other parts of the world. You can find details about the characters and the people who made the anime on the official website.
‘Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill’ (2023– )

This anime, set in another world, centers around Mukoda, who discovers his ordinary ‘Online Grocery’ ability is actually a powerful cooking skill. He uses it to gather ingredients, prepare amazing dishes, and even make deals with legendary creatures. Produced by MAPPA, the first season aired from January to March 2023, and the second season will begin in October 2025. Viewers outside of Asia can stream it on Crunchyroll. The series is based on light novels by Ren Eguchi, which have also been adapted into a manga and additional spin-off stories.
‘Gachiakuta’ (2025– )

This anime is set in a divided city where unwanted people are cast out to a massive garbage dump known as the Pit. It follows Rudo as he struggles to survive in exile and fights monsters created from the trash, using ordinary objects that gain power from personal meaning. Produced by Bones Film, the series premiered in July 2025, with Hiroshi Seko handling the story’s structure and Taku Iwasaki composing the music. Outside of Asia, Crunchyroll is streaming the show. The story began as a manga published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine.
