The first expansion for the city-building game Frostpunk 2, titled Fractured Utopias, will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 8, 2025.
Fractured Utopias will significantly enhance the Utopia Builder mode, offering players a wealth of new features and challenging decisions to shape their civilizations.
Each group in the game has its own idea of a perfect society, represented as a branching tree powered by shared values. By gaining their trust, you’ll gain access to special rules, buildings, and powers that make each group unique. Completing an entire group’s tree will impose their vision on the city, uniting everyone under a single path and ending all conflict.
This downloadable content will introduce eight distinct utopian societies to the game, each with its own special mechanics, resources, and late-game goals. Each society will also gain access to twelve new features – including laws, powers, and central buildings – plus a unique building style for their main hub and residential areas.
This DLC includes over 100 new events, plus two in-depth stories focused on dangerous illnesses and those who predict disaster. A brand new map is also included.
