52-year-old Kenzaboro Tondabayashi is transformed into Grace Auvergne, a character who plays the antagonist in the video game Magical Academy: Love & Beast, which is similar to a romance game for women (otome). As Grace isn’t aware of the game’s guidelines, she tries to embody a villain but ends up earning respect and admiration instead.
Following her friendship with Anna Doll, Grace engages with Crown Prince Virgile, who is also her fiancé. Leveraging her extensive administrative background, she demonstrates academic prowess that wins over the freshmen’s admiration. Her flawless manners help build a reputation for herself, which surprisingly clashes with her plans to portray an antagonistic role.
In episode 2 of “From Bureaucrat to Villainess,” Grace intends to approach Anna Doll with an overbearing demeanor, fitting her new villainess persona. As she interacts with the student council members, she’ll come to understand that they are potential love interests for Anna in the game.
With the aim of weakening Anna’s position, Grace plans to criticize her. Yet, her analytical mind may unwittingly lead to honest, impartial compliments rather than criticism. This pattern could potentially trigger unexpected changes in her interactions with Anna and the student council.
Entitled ‘The Bureaucrat Turned Sorceress: Episode 2’, airing on January 17, 2025 at 12:26 am JST, is ready to stream. This episode will premiere during the Super Animeism Turbo time slot, available on both MBS and TBS channels.
