Cole Sprouse recently talked about being on Friends as a child, explaining it was challenging to work with Jennifer Aniston when he was just seven years old.
He shared these thoughts in an interview with the New York Post, reflecting on his experiences playing Ben, Ross Geller’s son.
Although Cole Sprouse was only on the show for a handful of episodes, the experience had a lasting impact on him. He shared that being with the cast was thrilling, but Jennifer Aniston was the one who particularly made him feel anxious.
He confessed he had a big crush on her when he was younger, and it made it tough to concentrate. He explained, “I was completely smitten… I’d get really excited and forget what I was supposed to say, just draw a blank… It was really challenging.”
Despite feeling stressed at times, Sprouse said working on the show was a wonderful experience. He fondly remembers everyone being friendly and supportive, though he admits the large-scale production was a bit daunting for him as a child. He described walking onto the set as intimidating, being surrounded by already well-known actors.
Cole Sprouse shared that he hadn’t seen most of his co-stars since they finished filming. He playfully noted that while saying hi shouldn’t be hard, he’s changed a lot since then. He joked that if he looked exactly the same, it would be a bit strange.
Sprouse has often discussed the difficulties of growing up as a public figure. He’s been candid about the struggles of being a child actor and how those experiences affected his views on fame.
