FRANKENSTEIN’s Monster Chooses RAGE in Trailer for Guillermo del Toro Movie

Oscar Isaac plays Dr. Victor Frankenstein in this exciting new trailer. From one of our favorite directors, this version of the story will be more faithful to the original novel than many previous adaptations. However, at its core, it remains the tale of a man committing a terrible act. (The creature he creates is significantly more disturbing and frightening than the iconic Universal monster, which was known for its flat head and neck bolts, and couldn’t express its suffering.)

The Doctor doesn’t simply give life to what was lost. He leaves those he creates to endure hardship. This ultimately means others must suffer the consequences of Victor’s actions. As the new Frankenstein trailer shows, if Frankenstein’s monster is denied affection, he will unleash fury-that’s the message. Here’s the official Frankenstein synopsis from Netflix:

Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro reimagines Mary Shelley’s famous story of Victor Frankenstein, a highly intelligent but self-centered scientist. He creates a living being in a shocking experiment, which eventually destroys both himself and his heartbreaking creation.

Frankenstein features Jacob Elordi in the role of the Monster. The cast also includes Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. You can see a preview of their performances in the Frankenstein trailer shown above. Guillermo del Toro was also responsible for writing the movie’s script.

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein will be shown in certain cinemas starting October 17th. After that, it will be available on Netflix beginning November 7th. That’s when we may also realize the recent surge in popularity for Frankenstein stories may have reached its highest point right at the start.
