Fortnite v36.20 patch notes: 5 biggest changes

After taking a summer hiatus, Epic Games is back with the second significant update of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3. This means it’s time for more Marvel superheroes to enter the battlefield, even though Superman has been leading the charge this season. In addition to these iconic characters joining the game, there will be an assortment of unique skin designs, a new point of interest on the Fortnite map, and an unexpected collaboration that’s set to make waves.

We’ll cover everything that’s new in our full Fortnite patch notes for update v36.20.

Fantastic Four collaboration

In the upcoming months, you’ll see characters from the Fantastic Four, specifically Reed Richards, Susan Storm, and Johnny Storm, appear in Fortnite as playable skins. Although there are speculations about Ben Grimm (The Thing), the collaboration details do not explicitly confirm his inclusion yet. However, fans are hopeful, as it seems unusual for him to be left out. The skins should become available around the same time as the movie’s release on July 25th, which is when the next Fortnite update is expected.

Fortress of Solitude POI

Without allowing the Fantastic Four to overshadow him, Superman will soon make an appearance on the Fortnite map. This is due to the upcoming addition of his Fortress of Solitude to the map in the latest update. Simultaneously, a set of exclusive Superman missions will be introduced, providing ample chances to earn XP and numerous Superman-themed rewards associated with the Battle Pass Secret Skin this season.

Deadmau5 skin

It’s no longer unexpected to find characters from popular culture in Fortnite, since recent game files have included an encrypted skin resembling music artist Deadmau5. This development might seem sudden, considering we’re still a while away from the next Fortnite Festival season. However, it’s reassuring to know that musical artists may not be limited to the specific game mode anymore.

New original skins

With this update, as usual, there’s a variety of unique skins being introduced, some of which are quite unusual. For instance, we have a character modeled after a slime girl filled with Slurp, not to be confused with the Silver Surfer, who is a man with metallic silver skin. However, the most peculiar one is a humanoid figure composed entirely of black wires, sporting a game controller as its head.

New Lego Fortnite Odyssey encounters

In the upcoming update for Odyssey, some adversaries from Lego Fortnite Expeditions will make an appearance. Once the Spires have been activated, you might encounter Daigo’s minions roaming around, causing chaos as you strive to preserve tranquility and expand your settlements.
