Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 patch notes: The biggest changes in Fortnite Super

Hey there! After a well-deserved break from the Fortnite grind to celebrate Star Wars, I’m back and ready for some classic action. The island is once again under the control of superheroes, but this time it’s not Marvel leading the charge. Instead, we’ve got DC’s finest taking center stage! David Corenswet’s Superman is stepping up as the main man in Chapter 6 Season 3, also known as Fortnite Super. Let’s jump back into the battle royale and see what these heroes have in store for us!

New map

Each season typically brings changes to the island, with new Points of Interest (POIs) being added. This season, we’re introducing the Supernova Academy, where many of our characters will be training and perfecting their skills. Utopia City may face some hardship as supervillains attempt to destroy it, while Demon’s Domain lives up to its name in the usual way.

In today’s update, it’s not just Battle Royale that’s kicking off a fresh season – Fortnite Original and LEGO Fortnite are also joining the fray! This means you’ll have the chance to embark on new adventures with these modes as well. You can acquire them separately from the item shop, or opt for all three if you decide to subscribe to Fortnite Crew.

Hero Ranks

In each game, you’ll receive a Hero Rank with special benefits. Initially, your rank is C, but you can advance all the way to S+ by completing these tasks:

Eliminating opponents
Eliminating henchmen
Surviving Storm phases
Taking Sprites to their shrines

As your rank advances, you’ll unlock additional Boon items. Players at the S+ level will acquire all previously uncollected Boons during each game. Moreover, the Hero Cache chests will provide superior rewards to those of higher ranks.

Myst Gauntlets – Fire a cone of shadow energy in front of you
Killswitch Revolvers – Dual pistols that allow you to dodge and activate Hangtime to slow your fall and fire with high accuracy.
Tracking Visor – Scans the battlefield, shows enemy footprints, and highlights nearby opponents.
Bass Boost – Shoots sound waves that damage and repel opponents and structures. You can use the secondary fire to launch yourself up into the air.

There are also a few items being added later this season, including:

Surf Cube – A surfboard that lets you glide through the sky.
Storm Beast’s Pom Poms – Let you transform into Storm Beast and deal serious damage.
Myst Form – Transforms you into a flock of shadowy ravens that make you invulnerable for a short time. This can be combined with the Myst Gauntlets to unlock Ascended Myst, a more powerful form of both items.

This season stretches over its entire duration, unlike Galactic Battle. It’s scheduled to conclude on August 8, 2025, at 2:30 am Eastern Time. Occasionally, due to the nature of the season, it might extend by a day or two.
