The newest limited-time mode in Fortnite has arrived, and it’s focusing on amping up the tempo! Unlike standard matches of Fortnite Battle Royale which can last around 15-20 minutes if you survive till the end, Blitz Royale is emphasizing swiftness, ensuring games don’t extend beyond the 5-minute mark.
In this reduced-scale mode, 32 players will find themselves equipped with Medallions from the start, which grants them a buff and broadcasts their approximate location on the mini-map. This setup significantly hastens match conclusions, providing seasoned players with the swiftest route to achieving Victory Royale.
The purpose of this mode is to provide weekly updates as it operates, with at least eight weeks’ worth of content prepared before it ends. Additionally, it will reintroduce several past collaborations such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What’s more, if you sign in to Fortnite immediately, you’ll receive the free Blitz Pickaxe item automatically in your inventory.
