As an ardent fan of both Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum, I find myself captivated by their unique journey together, professionally and personally. The news of their upcoming movie “Blink Twice” has me on the edge of my seat! Their relationship dynamics add a layer of intrigue to the film, making it even more compelling.
Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum are ready for the premiere of their upcoming film, “Blink Twice.” Not only do they share a professional bond, but they’ve also been in a romantic relationship for some time. The pair officially went public with their romance in October 2023 when Tatum proposed to Kravitz, marking their commitment to each other.
In a heart-to-heart chat with Esquire, I learned that the film’s director is not planning on having kids with Tatum at this moment. You see, before he and the brilliant Big Little Lies actress became a duo, he was married to his Step Up dance partner, Jenna Dewan. And as dear friends who share a beautiful 11-year-old daughter, they continue their journey together.
During an interview with a media outlet, the versatile Kravitz expressed her uncertainty about starting a family. She confided in the publication that for quite some time she had felt as though there might be something abnormal about herself, saying “I’ve often felt like I was different or flawed.”
She mentioned, “I was anticipating a lightbulb moment in my mind that never occurred, and it left me pondering. When you’re younger, you often think, ‘I can’t have children yet. I’m too young! It’s reckless.’ However, I found myself asking, ‘What are my desires?'” The new filmmaker expressed this thought.
Furthermore, the High Fidelity actress revealed that during her marriage to Karl Glusman in 2019, she decided not to have children. Additionally, Kravitz shared that this choice led her to spend time with friends who appreciate and respect her perspective on parenthood.
In simpler terms, the former cast member of Divergent expressed, “Having kids can be a massive, transformative experience for many individuals, and I believe they deserve a certain level of support and recognition from their community.”
She continued, “There’s a lot of pressure on women to have children, and there’s a feeling that if you don’t, you don’t have a purpose here. But in this movie, it feels like I gave birth.” Kravitz will be making her debut as a director with Blink Twice.
In my perspective as a dedicated follower, the movie’s narrative will center around the character of Tatum, known as Slater King. At first glance, Slater appears warm and inviting, but beneath this facade lie sinister intentions, as suggested by the film’s synopsis. The story unfolds when tech billionaire Slater King encounters a cocktail waitress named Frida at his charity event. Intrigued by her presence, he extends an invitation for her to join him and his companions on a luxurious getaway at his private island paradise.
In the narrative, an unusual character named Twist arrives as the peaceful rhythm of nights turning into bright afternoons sets in. However, when peculiar occurrences begin to take place, Frida finds herself on a mission to expose the mystery if she wants to survive and escape unscathed.
Blink Twice will hit theaters on August 23.
