
As a huge *Star Wars* fan, I was thrilled to see the first trailer for the next *Mandalorian and Grogu* movie! It gives us a sneak peek at what Din and Grogu will be up to in their new adventure, and it’s hitting theaters on May 22, 2026 – mark your calendars!
Following the Empire’s defeat, various Imperial leaders are still operating throughout the galaxy. The newly formed New Republic seeks help from Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice, Grogu, to maintain the delicate peace.

What’s Shown in the Trailer
The trailer begins with Din Djarin and Grogu flying in a new Razor Crest ship. It then shows heartwarming scenes of Grogu enjoying time with his Anzellan friends, looking through a small telescope.
The new promotional materials feature the return of Zeb Orrelios and introduce Sigourney Weaver’s enigmatic character. A large Hutt is also shown in the background, suggesting even bigger dangers are on the horizon.
The footage is packed with action, showcasing everything from the fall of Imperial AT-ATs to a fierce gladiator battle featuring massive versions of the creatures seen in the Dejarik game.
The preview ends by highlighting the close connection between Din and Grogu, showing the young Grogu fighting alongside his mentor.

The Team Behind the Film
Jon Favreau directed *The Mandalorian and Grogu* and also served as a producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Ludwig Göransson, who previously composed the music for *The Mandalorian* series, once again created the score.

Din Djarin and Grogu’s latest adventure, *The Mandalorian and Grogu*, will arrive in theaters on May 22, 2026. The film, shot for IMAX, promises to be their most exciting mission yet.
