First Trailer Drops for Mind-Bending Spy Thriller ‘The Copenhagen Test’ Starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera

Peacock will soon release a new sci-fi spy thriller called The Copenhagen Test, featuring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera.

The new streaming series from Thomas Brandon just released its first trailer, offering a preview of the thrilling action and suspense to come. The show premieres on December 27th with eight episodes.

The film centers on Alexander Hale, an intelligence agent portrayed by Simu Liu, who makes a shocking discovery: someone has hacked his brain. He’s then forced to fight to prove he can be trusted while facing a dangerous and deceitful world.

I’m really excited about this film because Melissa Barrera is playing Michelle, and from what I’ve heard, she’s a key player in the story. The cast is fantastic overall – you’ve got Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien, and the always wonderful Kathleen Chalfant. Plus, Sara Amini, Saul Rubinek, and Hannah Cruz are all popping up throughout the movie, which is great to see!

Thomas Brandon created the show, wrote its scripts, and oversees it as an executive producer. He works with co-showrunner Jennifer Yale.

James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett of Atomic Monster are executive producers on the series, alongside Simu Liu. Jet Wilkinson directed the first two episodes, and Mark Winemaker also served as an executive producer.

The series *The Copenhagen Test* was filmed in Toronto, starting on October 21, 2024, and finishing on March 11. The trailer that just came out hints at a suspenseful story filled with espionage, technology, and exciting action.
