First Teaser for ‘Marvel Zombies’ Unleashes TV-MA Action and Confirms Release Date

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book and cinematic universe immersion under my belt, I must say that the upcoming animated miniseries “Marvel Zombies” has me thoroughly enthralled! The concept of a zombie-infested Marvel world is nothing short of intriguing, and the fact that it’s part of the MCU just takes it to another level.

The upcoming Disney+ miniseries, titled ‘Marvel Zombies’, is an exciting new venture! Penned by Zeb Wells, it’s inspired by the Marvel Comics series and falls under the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Unlike the ‘What If…? (2021)’ episode ‘What If… Zombies?’, this story takes place in a different continuity. The plot revolves around a band of survivors battling against zombified former heroes and villains in a post-apocalyptic world. Zeb Wells serves as the primary writer, while Bryan Andrews directs.

The show was announced almost four years ago, and now it is finally getting close to its release.

Marvel Studios has unveiled a sneak peek of their upcoming series lineup together with their scheduled premieres. It’s been confirmed that these shows will debut on Disney+, starting from October 2025. Here is the trailer for your viewing pleasure:

In this upcoming series, it’s expected that Shang-Chi and Kamala Khan will take center stage. The show promises to present various Marvel Cinematic Universe character adaptations, such as Yelena Belova, Katy, Kate Bishop, the Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov), Jimmy Woo, Death Dealer, Shang-Chi, and Xu Wenwu.

In addition to the regular characters, the show will feature zombified versions of characters such as Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Emil Blonsky (Abomination), Ava Starr (Ghost), Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Ikaris, and Okoye.

As a dedicated Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming series on Disney+ will carry a TV-MA rating, marking it as the first Marvel animated production intended for mature audiences. I can hardly wait!
