First ‘Moana 2’ Reactions Are Here and It Seems Disney Did a Fine Job: “It’s a delightful sequel”

As a gamer with a soft spot for Disney movies, especially those that delve into rich cultural narratives like Moana, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I waited for the premiere of “Moana 2”. Having grown up surrounded by the tales and legends of the Pacific Islands, this sequel felt like a homecoming.

The world premiere of Disney’s “Moana 2” sailed into Oahu, Hawaii on Thursday.

Prior to the debut of “Moana 2,” Disney organized a world premiere at the Lanikūhonua Cultural Institute in Kapolei, Hawaii. This event brought together the film’s cast and creators, as well as special attendees such as WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse themselves.

The gathering commenced with a display orchestrated by Tiana Nonosina Liufau, Kayla Faʻamaligi, along with other Polynesian artists, who paid tribute to the Pacific community, their cultures, and heritage that served as the foundation for Moana’s tale. Following its debut, social media buzzed with the initial responses to the film.

As a captivated fan, today’s special screening left me absolutely spellbound! The stunning animated set pieces had me enchanted from start to finish. The tunes are infectiously catchy and the narrative revolves around a heartwarming core storyline that I found truly endearing.
