Actor Jude Law is seen fully decked out with makeup and wardrobe resembling Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in a sneak peek for the upcoming political drama titled “The Wizard of the Kremlin.

The movie, helmed by Olivier Assayas, is inspired by Giuliano da Empoli’s 2022 novel and delves into the ascension of Putin during the Soviet Union’s demise and the initial stages of the Russian Federation. The narrative primarily focuses on Vadim Baranov, a fictional up-and-coming artist character, portrayed by Paul Dano, who rises to become a influential government advisor and media strategist.

This film features Alicia Vikander playing Ksenia, alongside Tom Sturridge and Jeffrey Wright. As per reports, the movie was shot in March 2025 in Riga, Latvia. The production is a joint venture between Curiosa Films and Gaumont.
