Empire magazine has shared the first image of Rebecca Ferguson as she prepares for her role in the new Peaky Blinders movie, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
This film picks up where the popular British TV show – which ran from 2013 to 2022 – left off. Cillian Murphy is back as Thomas Shelby, and he’s joined by familiar faces like Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck. The cast also welcomes new actors including Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan.
The upcoming film, directed by Tom Harper and written by the show’s creator, Steven Knight, will arrive in theaters on March 6, 2026, followed by a release on Netflix on March 20, 2026. With Rebecca Ferguson joining the cast, the film is gaining even more attention, and viewers are excited to see her character’s role in the intense story of Birmingham’s criminal underworld.

The show initially ran for six seasons and ended in 2022. Even before the last season finished, its creator, Steven Knight, suggested the story could continue in a movie. In 2023, Cillian Murphy told Rolling Stone he’d be happy to reprise his role as Tommy Shelby, but only if the script was strong. Later that year, Knight announced he was completing the screenplay for the film.
As a huge Peaky Blinders fan, I’m really excited about Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to deliver the same gripping story and intense drama we all love, but now as a full-blown movie experience. Seeing that first look at Ferguson over at Empire has definitely got me hyped – the anticipation is already building, and I can’t wait to see what they’ve done with it!
