Netflix unveils a sneak peek of House of Guinness, an upcoming historical drama series from Steven Knight, renowned for his work on Peaky Blinders. This captivating show will make its debut on September 25, 2025. The series delves into the narrative of the Guinness family, who are known for establishing the globally recognized Guinness brewery, during the 19th century in both Ireland and New York.
The narrative delves into the aftermath following the demise of Benjamin Guinness, the visionary who transformed the brewery into a colossal achievement, and explores the lives of his four grown-offspring: Arthur, Edward, Anne, and young Ben.
In this production, Louis Partridge takes on the role of Edward Guinness, while Anthony Boyle is cast as Arthur Guinness. Emily Fairn portrays Anne Guinness, and Fionn O’Shea plays Benjamin Guinness. Other notable performers include David Wilmot in the character of Bonnie Champion, James Norton as Sean Rafferty, Jack Gleeson as Byron Hughes, Niamh McCormack as Ellen Cochrane, Seamus O’Hara as Patrick Cochrane, Dervla Kirwan as Aunt Agnes Guinness, Michael McElhatton as John Potter, Danielle Galligan as Lady Olivia Hedges, and Hilda Fay depicting Sultan.











In March 2024, it was formally unveiled as the House of Guinness, operating under its provisional title. This series is being developed by Kudos for Netflix and will be directed by Tom Shankland for the initial five episodes. Subsequently, Mounia Akl will oversee the final three episodes.
The executive producers for this series are Knight, Shankland, Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Martin Haines, and Ivana Lowell. Cahal Bannon acts as the series producer, while Howard Burch takes on a producing role.
Filming commenced in Cheshire during summer 2024, also including sites in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and Liverpool. As per reports from production, the series is set to blend intricate historical elements with intense family dramatics, portraying the ascension and trials of a renowned brewing dynasty on a global scale.
