Disney-Pixar unveiled a sneak peek of the character Smarty Pants, a potty-trained doll voiced by Conan O’Brien, in Toy Story 5.

At the D23 event, the new addition to Bonnie’s room was spotlighted with the character being revealed to attendees, providing a sneak peek for fans.

Who is Smarty Pants?

The Smarty Pants character is introduced as an interactive training aid for potty training, featuring a cheerful digital face, colorful buttons, and even a roll of toilet paper. In the movie, he is portrayed as a wise-cracking device that often clashes with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their fellow companions.

In “Toy Story 5”, the unfolding events directly tie into the narrative of “Toys and Technology”, a plot line where our beloved characters must adapt to and confront Bonnie’s new digital toy tablet and other advanced gadgets, which could potentially transform playtime in ways we’ve never seen before.

Conan O’Brien Joins the Cast

Confirmed by Pixar: Conan O’Brien will lend his voice to the character Smarty Pants, infusing it with his signature wit and sarcasm. Joining the returning cast members include Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie.

Opening scene

The audience was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the initial scene from Toy Story 5, often referred to as “the Multi-Buzz episode,” where an abundance of Buzz Lightyear action figures found themselves stranded on a deserted island following a container shipwreck.
