It turns out Pedro Pascal has been keeping quite busy, although not as much as before (spoiler alert). Last week, we were thrilled by the release of the new trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Pedro will portray Mr. Fantastic, a heroic father on a mission to save the world from Galactus. Amidst our excitement, we almost overlooked his other significant genre project, “The Mandalorian.” Interestingly, this series is set to transition to the big screen with “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” For those who couldn’t make it to Japan for this year’s Star Wars Celebration, ComicBook.com generously shared a first glimpse of Pedro in character as Din Djarin from that movie, helmet removed, much like a true heretic.
He appears to be quite similar to his usual self, yet there’s something striking about him. Firstly, the Mandalorian armor consistently exudes an impressive aura. Secondly, Pedro Pascal is undeniably attractive. It remains uncertain how much of unarmored Din we might see in the film. Notably, during season three of the Disney+ series, Pascal predominantly provided the voice while stunt performers enacted the character physically. However, with a cinematic release on the horizon, and the Mandalorian seemingly disenchanted with “The Way,” there’s potential for him to remove his helmet more frequently.
The series titled “The Mandalorian and Grogu” is created by directors, co-writers, and co-producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. While details about the show are scarce at this point, we do know a few key cast members. Sigourney Weaver will portray an as yet unnamed character, while Jeremy Allen White lends his voice to Rotta the Hutt. The release date for this series is set for May 2026, making Pedro Pascal the star of two major blockbusters within a year. Talk about impressive! Kudos to the fellow who had his head squashed on ‘Game of Thrones’ once – you certainly earned it!
