First Look at ‘Masters of the Universe’ Reveals Epic He-Man and Skeletor!

I’ve had my first glimpse at ‘Masters of the Universe‘, and it’s absolutely thrilling! Amazon and MGM recently unveiled some preliminary clips from the film, and despite being filmed in the UK, what I’ve seen so far has me pumped up. Director Travis Knight is transforming this beloved toy series into reality, and his dedication to the project is palpable.

The film features Nicholas Galitzine portraying the role of He-Man, and we caught a sneak peek of him in action. Imagine this scenario—a young man is seen sitting contemplatively on a bed, later found lying on the floor dressed in the familiar pink-and-white attire of Prince Adam.

The video additionally depicted him brandishing the renowned “Sword of Power” in a spacious stone chamber supported by a large metal stand. Interspersed were scenes of him weightlifting, with workout rooms adorned with ‘Masters of the Universe’ posters, showcasing his dedication to embodying the character.

After that, we have Jared Leto stepping into the role of Skeletor. Although we haven’t seen his face just yet, he was sporting an intricate all-black attire with a blue hue, perfectly embodying the villain we anticipate. The creative team is aiming for a genuine, live-action aesthetic in this production—far from the feel of a cartoon. They even shared some quick sneak peeks of other characters such as Evil-Lyn, Man-at-Arms, and the Sorceress, all bearing resemblance to their original counterparts but with a modern twist.

Knight expressed in a communication that he’s long harbored a dream for this film since its conception. And truly, the grandeur is not an exaggeration; colossal sets are under construction, while advanced CGI techniques will bring Eternia to life.

In the footage, it was also Camila Mendes, portraying Teela, who could be seen rehearsing with harnesses and sprinting diagonally. The impressive cast includes Idris Elba, Alison Brie, and Morena Baccarin, so we’re anticipating a major production.

It appears that we’re not alone in appreciating this ‘Masters of the Universe’ clip, as evidenced by the reactions shown below.
