Who is Franklin Richards?
In the Marvel Universe, Franklin Richards is the child born to Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, and Sue Storm, or Invisible Woman, who are members of the superhero team, The Fantastic Four.
As I find myself immersed within the expansive realm of the Marvel Universe, I can confidently assert that few characters rival the raw, unbridled power of Franklin – a force to be reckoned with.
He holds immense powers that allow him to rearrange reality and bend time, giving him the capacity to transform the very fabric of the universe, construct pocket universes, and even go toe-to-toe with cosmic beings such as Galactus and the Celestials.
At first, Franklin was believed to be a genetic mutant, but it turned out that his abilities were just an illusion, mimicking mutant genes. This revelation meant he was no longer classified as a mutant in the genetic pool of Krakoa, despite his close ties with both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
Throughout various phases of Marvel’s history, Franklin has significantly contributed to key narratives like “Heroes Reborn,” during which he fashioned a whole universe as a means to safeguard Earth’s superheroes. Additionally, in the storyline “Days of Future Present,” his future self’s extraordinary power was delved into.
Even though he’s lost some of his powers in modern tales, Franklin still stands as a significant icon in the Marvel universe, frequently representing unrealized abilities and a cosmic fate waiting to be fulfilled.
In the comics, Franklin has a sister named Valeria Richards who is equally brilliant, if not more so than some of the top minds in the Marvel Universe. Unlike Franklin, who possesses divine powers, Valeria’s strength lies in her exceptional intelligence, strategic mind, and scientific abilities.
