
Fans are getting their first glimpse of what’s next in Dune: Part Three! A new trailer will be released tomorrow at 9 a.m. Pacific Time / 12 p.m. Eastern Time, offering details about the story and characters, according to Evolve.
The studio unveiled new character posters featuring the returning cast, including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, and Isaach de Bankolé, who reprises his role as Bashar of the Ninth Legion Farok. The posters showcase both familiar and new characters, suggesting a serious and intense mood for the film.
Timothée Chalamet shared the first look at his character, Paul Atreides, revealing scars on his face and a mask partially covering his mouth. The new Dune movie is set to come out on December 18th and will be competing with Avengers: Doomsday in theaters. The story picks up more than a decade after the events of Dune: Part Two.

The previous film showed Paul integrating with the Fremen people, falling in love with Chani, and overcoming the Harkonnens. The second movie concluded with him seizing control and starting a religious war against the noble families.

Director Denis Villeneuve, returning for the third film, plans to take the story in a new direction, similar to how Frank Herbert approached Dune: Messiah. The film will be set twelve years after the events of Dune: Part Two. Timothée Chalamet hinted at a significant change in his character’s development for Dune: Part Three.

Production on Dune: Part Three started in July 2025 and finished in November. The film is based on Frank Herbert’s novel, Dune Messiah, and continues the story of Paul Atreides – now called Muad’Dib – as he deals with the challenges of power, political maneuvering, and fulfilling his destiny in a dramatically altered world.
