The first images from season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again have fans thrilled, as Jessica Jones joins Daredevil in a new battle against crime in New York City.
Charlie Cox, the actor who plays Matt Murdock, hinted at the plot of the new season. He explained that the first season showed how Wilson Fisk gained power, but the upcoming season will explore the challenges of keeping that power and controlling the city.

It hasn’t been long since the end of the first season, but New York City is still struggling under Fisk’s control. According to Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, the upcoming episodes will be intense, featuring difficult topics, and some heartbreaking moments. He also explained that Daredevil will be a true force of rebellion this season, challenging the city’s established power.
I’m so hyped for the new season! Remember how things ended last time? Mayor Fisk, brilliantly played by Vincent D’Onofrio, completely took over New York, made it illegal to be a hero, and turned Daredevil into public enemy number one. Now, Matt’s finally getting a team together to fight back against that tyrant, and I can’t wait to see how it all goes down!
The new season will feature Krysten Ritter as a seasoned and resilient detective, though her exact part in the story is still under wraps. According to Winderbaum, her role will be similar in scope to Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in the first season.
Charlie Cox described the latest season as feeling similar to the French Revolution, where a single mistake could be deadly. He explained that the world Matt inhabits is incredibly dangerous and confining, saying, “It feels like one misstep and loved ones disappear. You are taken, there’s no way out.”
This season, Deborah Ann Woll’s character, Karen Page, has a more significant storyline. Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, highly praised Woll’s performance, stating that this is her strongest work yet. He described Karen as a “badass” and revealed that season two showcases a hidden strength that both Charlie’s character and Matt Murdock have always recognized in her.
Elden Henson is back as Foggy Nelson, and Daredevil is still feeling his friend’s absence. The Punisher, who broke out of prison at the end of the last season, will also appear, though details about his role are being kept secret.
Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Tony Dalton are all returning to star, and they’ll be joined by Krysten Ritter.
The second season was filmed in New York City between February and July, and several directors worked on it, including Solvan Naim, Iain B. MacDonald, and Angela Barnes.
Season two will arrive on Disney+ on March 4, 2026, with eight episodes. It’s part of the larger story unfolding in Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Marvel has already announced plans for a third season, confirmed in September.
