First-Look at Adult Zuko, Aang and More From THE LEGEND OF AANG (Thanks Target!)

It’s tough to keep secrets these days, especially when it comes to popular movies and TV shows – fans always want a sneak peek! Sometimes they have to dig for spoilers, but often they’re right out in the open, like on Target’s website. Well, here’s our first look at the grown-up versions of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph, plus Dave Bautista as the villain in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, The Legend of Aang. And they all look fantastic!

Dedicated fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender are aware of a single piece of official artwork depicting the Gaang as adults. However, this image of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph grown up was created solely for marketing purposes and was never actually part of the show’s storyline.

Everyone seems to love how the grown-up versions of Aang, Zuko, and their friends were imagined. It’s good to see that the characters look even better on merchandise like shirts from Target! Here’s a look at some of the images.

First-Look at Adult Aang Shows Him All Grown Up in The Legend of Aang

This new artwork of the Gaang feels familiar, keeping the characters recognizable from Avatar: The Last Airbender, which we appreciate. Aang still has his classic round face, but he looks noticeably more mature and powerful in this first look at the upcoming Avatar movie. While we only see airbending in this image, it’s clear his bending skills have significantly improved since we last saw him. You can purchase the shirt featured in the image here.

Aang has also personalized his look with blue beads from the Water Tribe, similar to the ones Katara wears in her hair.

First Look at Adult Katara Reveals Her Air-Nation Ties

As a huge Avatar fan, I was so excited to see the first look at adult Katara in the new movie! She still rocks her classic waterbending blues and furs, but there’s a sweet new detail. She’s added an orange sash, which totally reminds me of Aang and the Air Nomads – a really lovely nod to their connection. It’s great to see that their love story, which we know continues thanks to The Legend of Korra, is being acknowledged in a subtle but meaningful way. And if you’re as obsessed as I am, you can even buy a shirt inspired by her look!

First Look at Adult Zuko Promises Flowing Locks in The Legend of Aang

Let’s talk about adult Zuko! The first look at him in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie is fantastic. Considering the story takes place years after the original cartoon, Zuko is now the Fire Nation’s king, and he definitely looks the part. He has a regal appearance, a strong presence, and a great crown – plus, he looks like he’s just stepped out of the wind. It’s a stunning transformation! We’re hoping the voice acting lives up to the visual impact, but for now, we’re loving this look enough to want it on a t-shirt. You can buy the shirt here.

First Look at Adult Sokka Gives Us His Signature Club

I’m really hoping Boomerang shows up somewhere – I have a feeling it’s just around the corner! Right now in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, Sokka’s going with his trusty club, which is cool. But honestly, I’d love to see The Legend of Aang give him back his meteorite sword – he totally deserves it! Even without any bending abilities, Sokka looks completely ready for a fight, and that little smirk of his? So charming! Plus, you can actually buy that shirt he’s wearing if you want – pretty neat!

First Look at Adult Toph Is Smashing

We’ve gotten our first glimpse of Toph as an adult in the upcoming series! Fans will appreciate how her classic look from Avatar: The Last Airbender has been updated. She definitely looks tougher and more powerful than ever – you wouldn’t want to cross her! You can purchase a shirt featuring her design here.

First-Look at Dave Bautista’s Villain From The Legend of Aang… Also Reveals Air Nation Ties!

Finally, we’re getting our first glimpse of Dave Bautista’s character in the upcoming Legend of Aang movie. Interestingly, he appears to have Air Nomad tattoos, similar to Aang himself. This raises the question: could Bautista be playing a surviving Air Nomad? The film seems to focus on preventing the extinction of the Air Nomads, so it will be fascinating to see how his character fits into the story. You can purchase a related shirt here.

Appa and Momo Also Return in The Legend of Aang

No Avatar: The Last Airbender story would be complete without Appa and Momo, and we’re excited to have them both return in The Legend of Aang. They look just as great as ever!
