Approximately nine years ago, a science fiction television show about a group of friends who love Dungeons & Dragons, searching for their missing companion and a girl with psychokinetic abilities, premiered on Netflix, forever changing the landscape. Known as “Stranger Things,” this series has gained international acclaim, amassing millions of devoted fans who are deeply invested in Hawkins and the Upside Down. In 2024, production on the fifth and final season concluded, and its cast members, many of whom matured during their time on the show, reminisce fondly about their journey. Most recently, Finn Wolfhard shared his thoughts with Variety, likening filming Stranger Things 5 to a year-long shoot similar to “The Lord of the Rings.
Wolfhard expressed that his final day on set was extremely emotional, given it marked the culmination of the past ten years in his life. Similarly, the creators, the Duffer Brothers, began their journey when they were thirty and are now forty. Throughout this long journey, everyone had shared in the experience. Essentially, it felt like saying goodbye to a significant part of one’s childhood, much like the Toy Story 3 scene where characters leave their toys behind. It was an incredibly unique and special moment.
Wow, what a charming analogy! He’s transitioning to fresh endeavors, similar to the versatility showcased by A24’s “The Legend of Ochi,” which he’s currently promoting on his press tour, and “Hell of a Summer,” a horror production where he’s not only acting but also writing and producing.

He shared that we filmed our movie in a manner reminiscent of “Lord of the Rings,” spanning over an entire year. It was an exceptional and highly intense experience. I believe there couldn’t have been a more fitting conclusion. Promoting “The Legend of Ochi” is my first project since then, which makes it feel like graduation or something. I am eagerly anticipating the release of everything associated with it.
We’re unsure about the release date for “Stranger Things 5,” but we’re eagerly anticipating the conclusion of this captivating story!
