The progress of the third part in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is proceeding nicely. Yoshinori Kitase, the series’ producer, announced that the plot has been finalized and expressed his contentment with it. He is confident that we will also find the ending satisfying.
Naoki Hamaguchi, the lead game developer, announced that work on this third installment commenced straight after completing Rebirth. He’s confident that everything is moving forward according to schedule, with no signs of delays. Although we don’t have a definite launch date at this time, it’s reassuring to know that progress is being made steadily.
Kitase underscored the increasing significance of launching the game on PC as well. Given the expanding user base on this platform, it’s a tactical decision to expand our reach among a larger demographic. He even made a light-hearted remark about how playing on PC in windowed mode facilitates quick access to online game strategies.
As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that Hamaguchi hinted at our long-standing requests for options like skipping cutscenes being potentially integrated into the PlayStation 5 version. This is all while ensuring they leverage the console’s impressive capabilities. Moreover, there are plans to introduce a New Game Plus mode in the next installment, allowing us to replay the game with items and abilities we’ve previously acquired, making our journey even more exciting!
Previously, Hamaguchi mentioned that in many cases, individuals are forced to watch videos at faster rates because of time limitations. He proposes that allowing players to adjust game elements, such as quickening cutscenes, could enhance the gaming experience by making it more convenient and entertaining.
Hamaguchi explained further about the relationship between Cloud and Aerith in the game. Instead of revealing Cloud’s preferences through official statements, he plans to demonstrate their character dynamics directly within the gameplay.
It’s thrilling to watch the advancements in the last installment of this cherished series. Now that the plot has been concluded and production is proceeding seamlessly, we eagerly anticipate a captivating finale that pays tribute to its roots while offering novel adventures.
