Fiend Hunt Guide β€” Octovius I (2025)

Key Points

  • Level 10 DMG Threshold β€” 748M.
  • 0 DEF & MRES, 100 Water DMG, 50 Fire RES.
  • 10 Initial SP, 4 SP gained per turn.
  • Have a wind tank (e.g. Diana) be the main target of every attack, and let your carries be side targets for S2 and S4 for some extra buffs.
  • Bring MRES Gear.

Skill Rundown

S1

Sticky Octopus Leg

Position a windscreen (similar to Diana) squarely in the path of impact, to minimize harm and absorb the force effectively.

S2

Tidal Strike

In this scenario, aim the assault at the wind turbine (the tank), and position your attacking units either next to or behind it for a bonus in melee/attack power.

S3

Massive Octopus Leg

Same as S1, have a wind tank take this hit.

S4

Tuna Slam

As a passionate player, I’d rather my tanks absorb the initial blow with a wind shield, and then strategically place my carries either next to or behind them to enjoy that sweet damage multiplier.

S5

Dry Out

Nuke away!

S6

Summer Splash

A team wipe! Your next team then takes the stage as the Fiend loops back to S1.

Hunting the Fiend

Position Diana centrally as the primary focus for all incoming assaults. Among available options, Diana stands out as the optimal choice due to her dual role as a tank and amplifier. Her Anti-Dystopia outfit (or healing abilities on the side) makes it easier for her to endure S1 and S3. If you haven’t already, consider unlocking Diana’s range potential to enable your carry to dish out damage without getting hit by S3 by keeping them in the backline.

Make sure to have your carries take S2 and S4 for some extra buffs!

DPS Review

Yomi (Γ—15 AoE) β€” Decent budget option for this Fiend Hunt, although she only has 50% DMG uptime.

Hikage (Γ—2 AoE) β€” Terrible tile coverage.

Nebris (AoE x12) – After using her skill 4 (S4), Nebris amplifies her buffs significantly, dealing tremendous damage to the enemy with her new hire on a wide area of effect (AoE).

At a challenge level of 7, the Vanguard Gray glows, dealing significant damage once the Fiend exceeds 1000 Magic Attack Total (MATK). This happens when things get tough.

Venaka β€” A must have for wind content, since she gives vulnerability to wind damage.

Yozakura (Γ—8/2 AoE) β€” She also has terrible tile coverage for this Fiend.

Davi (15/6 Area of Effect) – Davi extensively covers the board with his tiles, while Bright Moon delivers significant damage during intervals.
