Firm Crab Legs
As a seasoned adventurer who’s seen more than my fair share of Fiend Hunts, let me walk you through this one with a bit of flair!
Trigger: Any unit activates an aura.
For those using Diana, consider activating one of her abilities prior to Skill 1 to clear the prerequisite for that skill. As for Refithea users, don’t forget to utilize her Gluttonous ability.
If neither of these skills isn’t being utilized within your team, there’s no need for you to be concerned with their conditional use.
Determined Crab Legs
Trigger: Weaken any tile.
In my gaming world, “weakening” refers to any status effect that reduces a character’s stats. For instance, it could be an M/ATK debuff like Celia’s ability, or a DEF/MRES shred debuff. So, if you’re battling with Celia, or if you’ve got a physical team member who specializes in reducing defense (like the Fiend with 50 Defense), you’ll encounter this skill condition.
7 obstacles on each Fiend tile form an overwhelming barrier. It’s highly probable that you’ll need to utilize Celia to remove these barriers.
If you need to activate this skill, do so at the beginning of a fight, followed by activating C1 subsequently. This sequence will provide you with an additional turn to eliminate any evasions.
Piercing Pincers
Instead of making your water-based units absorb the impact because they’re more durable against this kind of damage, consider having all your units sustain it if your team is robust enough. The goal here is to prevent them from losing the benefits of their S3 skill.
Diana takes double damage from this Fiend, so you may want her to tank S2 instead.
Killing Strike
If some units survived the attack from S1, let them now receive the damage. Ensure that each unit has a Debuff of Time (DoT) to prevent S3 from removing their buffs.
Deadly Crab Foam
If you had every unit tank either S1 or S2, nobody should be getting dispelled off of this.
If you’re using Sylvia, this turn is a perfect time to have Desert Flower’s counters active.
Spinning Death
After a changeover, it’s now your team’s turn to perform. The Fiend resets and reapplies its condition-based abilities in S1.
Hunting the Fiend
(C2 →) C1 → S1 → S2 → S3 → S4
To summarize: If you’re employing either Diana or Refithea, activate C1 at the outset of the battle; if Celia or a DEF shredder (for non-magic teams) is your choice, initiate C2 first. It’s important to activate these conditions early on, giving priority to C2 over C1 to maximize time for breaking evasions. Be aware that this could potentially delay aura skills until after C2 has been activated.
In this case, since the Fiend doesn’t possess any nuclear-style attacks, arrange your buffs optimally. If you’re utilizing Sylvia, strive to have her counter activated during the Fiend’s use of S3.
DPS Review
Roxy (with a 13-area attack range) is currently the top damage dealer for this Fiend Hunt, unless Morpeah might be superior in some unknown way. For magic teams, avoiding Magic Resistance Evasion Skill (MRES) is beneficial since it prevents triggering her C2 ability. Instead of using Celia, employ Beachside Angel Teresse to avoid activating Roxy’s C2. With Levia chaining for 4, Roxy will also gain the advantage of being vulnerable, along with Teresse’s buffs.

As an enthusiastic fan, let me share that while we’re yet to fully understand Morpeah’s unique abilities, I’ll hold off on filling in the details about her kit for now, eagerly awaiting more insights!
Schera’s area of effect abilities may not be ideal for this Fiend Hunt, however, you could still employ her if there are no better alternatives available.
In this Hunt, Sylvia seems to be in a tough spot due to her current condition (11 AoE). The opponent has a strong defense of 50, but beware as activating her C2 could cause complications for your strategy. You’ll need to strategize effectively to optimize the damage Sylvia can deal during this battle.
For Sylvia’s Steel Engine, it excels as a secondary DPS with an Area of Effect (AoE) impact (potted). Code A is designed to weaken the legs, and when combined with Game Club, makes it vulnerable. Overall, it’s fantastic! However, be aware that using Code A activates Sylvia’s C2 ability. If you aim to eliminate evasions, consider incorporating Celia into your physical team. Another option is to forgo using Code A, allowing you to include Teresse on your physical squad instead. Give both strategies a try!
