In the episode, Joe stated, “It wasn’t about money; it was nothing,” further explaining, “A couple of hundred dollars, a thousand dollars.” The rapper asserted that he and the That Should Be Me singer used to have frequent conversations, but their relationship changed when Joe offered advice following his arrest.

According to Joe, Justin Bieber phoned him to express gratitude and stated that he had transformed into a “gangster.” The rapper then remembered replying, “‘Hey Justin, listen buddy. Cut it out. We don’t need you acting like a gangster.’

In a report, it’s said that the Another Round vocalist admitted he might have tried to influence the singer to maintain a positive relationship with him, but his aim was actually to promote change rather than harm. In simpler terms, he didn’t want Bieber making headlines for getting arrested.

Joe mentioned that they desired him to achieve success, added that his daughter admired him deeply, and everyone adored him. However, the rapper expressed that this situation negatively impacted their relationship at that specific point in time.
