Vanessa Kirby and director Matt Shakman recently talked about Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman.
Sue, much like Kirby mentioned to EW.com, has achieved equal feats in the political sphere. In her role as leader of the Future Foundation (an idea borrowed from Jonathan Hickman’s modern Fantastic Four comics, a spin-off story cherished by fans as much as Lee and Kirby’s originals), she has played a significant part in global disarmament and peace. When Shakman and his team claim that the dreams of the ’60s are realized in this movie, they aren’t just referring to spacecraft; they’re also talking about peace and unity.
According to Shakman, “If he is the world’s most intellectually gifted when it comes to science, then she stands out as the most emotionally perceptive individual on Earth.” He further added that “Together, they are constructing a utopian society.
