Fantastic Four First Steps Trailer: Pedro Pascal Leads Marvel’s Superhero Family in New Look; Watch

The Fantastic Four blast off for a perilous journey into space! It seems as though they were finally settling into everyday life, but then one of them unwittingly brings forth the Silver Surfer (portrayed by Julia Garner), an infamous adversary from the series, who is determined to wreak havoc on Earth.

The movie starts by showing Susan Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) all gathering for a meal together, which happens to be a family dinner. It turns out that Susan and Mr. Fantastic are anticipating the arrival of their first baby and are hoping for a brighter tomorrow.

In the trailer, Susan confidently states, “We can handle this. Nothing’s going to alter,” indicating her optimism. John shares her excitement over his sister’s pregnancy. He proudly declares, “We’re going to be the best aunts and uncle there could be,” hinting at himself and The Thing being included in the role.

However, everything seems peaceful until the arrival of the Silver Surfer, who declares war. “Are you the guardian of this realm?” the Surfer inquires ominously. “Your world is now targeted for destruction,” he warns. According to Pascal’s character, he had pushed the limits of space, and they have taken notice.

Under a threatening cloud, the Fantastic Four are compelled to honor their role as Earth’s guardians and undertake yet another perilous space voyage. When someone inquires about the safety of Earth’s inhabitants, Pascal’s character responds ambiguously, “I’m not sure,” before departing with his team.

Susan emphasizes that everyone in the family should confront the danger unitedly. At some point, she expresses it as, “It needs to be us.

In this movie, we’re introduced to the MCU for the first time with the appearance of a superhero team that was previously under 20th Century Fox’s ownership but is now owned by Disney. However, other Marvel characters won’t be part of this universe’s storyline, as it’s set in an alternate, futuristic Manhattan reminiscent of the 1960s. In this world, the Fantastic Four are the only superheroes and protectors.

As per the given summary, “The Fantastic Four find themselves in a battle to safeguard Earth against a voracious cosmic deity named Galactus, along with his mysterious emissary, the Silver Surfer.” Meanwhile, they also grapple with the intricacies of their private lives.
