As a dedicated fan of Batista, I have been in awe of his incredible journey from a professional wrestler to a Hollywood star. His time in WWE was nothing short of legendary, with multiple championship wins and an unforgettable persona that captivated audiences around the world. But it was his transformation into Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy that truly cemented him as a household name.
Bautista gained prominence in the world of professional wrestling under the name “Batista.” He entered WWE in 2002 and soon became a fan favorite due to his impressive physique and strong character. During this period, he amassed an impressive collection of titles, claiming four World Heavyweight Championships and two WWE Championships.
I can’t speak for him personally, but joining the Guardians of the Galaxy team as Drax significantly skyrocketed his recognition on a global scale and turned him into a beloved figure in many households around the world.
I was thrilled to see Dwayne “The Rock” Bautista’s longing for deeper and intricate characters after the last franchise entry. His acting in “Dune: Part Two” truly resonated with me, resulting in a wave of praise and recognition.
After several months without seeing him on screen, fans were taken aback by the changed appearance of Bautista, evident in a recent photograph from behind the scenes at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Many fans have been wondering if something is amiss with the actor due to his drastic weight loss, just as they did when Laz Alonso, the Mother’s Milk actor on “The Boys,” went through a similar transformation.
That is not the animal 😤😤😤

Is it me or batista is getting small 😭

At his advanced age, it’s not natural or healthy for W Batista to carry around that much muscle mass. However, he still gives the impression of being strong and in good health.

He’s in good health, it’s just that he has recently shed some pounds. There’s no necessity for him to weigh 290 pounds and look muscular at his current stage of life.

Most likely he got smaller for a movie roll. Like so many other actors

Bautista’s statement about shedding weight for “Dune” is correct, as he had mentioned earlier that he underwent a significant weight loss to fit into the role. Following his stint in “Knock at the Cabin,” where he had gained around 300 pounds, Bautista managed to lose approximately 50 pounds through the practice of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
It’s important to consider Bautista’s age when discussing his potential roles in the DC Universe. The actor himself mentioned this issue during a recent conversation, sharing that he regretted not being able to portray Bane due to advancing age. This discussion followed James Gunn’s invitation for fans to suggest acting roles for artists.
Based on my own experiences and growth as an actor, I have come to realize that taking on a role that I don’t feel fully connected to or capable of bringing justice to, isn’t fair to myself or the audience. At this stage in my career, I believe I no longer possess the physical prowess required for the character of Bane, and I doubt I could sustain the commitment needed for multiple films. Therefore, I cannot see myself taking on that role.
Bautista appears to be in good health and free from any problems. He’s just going through a normal stage of life and taking care of himself accordingly by living a healthy lifestyle.
