I loved seeing Elle Fanning at the Golden Globes! She looked amazing with her boyfriend, Gus Wenner. Okay, he’s noticeably shorter than her, but they seriously seemed like a really comfortable and happy couple on the red carpet. They just seemed so at ease with each other – you could tell they’ve been together for a while.
Many fans were surprised by how tall Elle and Gus Wenner actually are. Elle Fanning is said to be around 5’9″ tall, even without wearing heels. While Gus Wenner’s exact height isn’t known, he looks to be about 5’6″ based on pictures of them together.

The couple hasn’t ever talked about how different their heights are, and it seems this is the first time it’s been brought up. Wenner, the CEO of Rolling Stone, is well-known, but not as much in the public eye as his partner.
Fans were surprised by the height difference between Elle Fanning and Gus Wenner, but not in the way you might think. The attention wasn’t on him being shorter, but rather on how tall Elle Fanning actually is.
Elle has had a very busy and successful beginning to 2026, recently receiving the International Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival for her performance in the Norwegian film Sentimental Value.
In the movie, she portrays an actress who has to rebuild a relationship with her father, played by Stellan Skarsgård. She was also recently in Predator: Badlands, a new action film directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
I’m really excited to see Hunter Schafer joining the Hunger Games universe in the new prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping! She’s going to play a young Effie Trinket, which is a fantastic role, and she’s already given us a little peek at some of the incredible costumes. Considering all the serious dramatic work she’s been doing, plus now landing a part in a huge blockbuster like this, 2026 is looking like it’s going to be a massive year for her – I can’t wait to see what she does!
