Fanart Creates a Xenomorph-Spider Hybrid. What Are the Filmmakers Waiting For?

As a lifelong fan of the Alien franchise, I must say that this piece of fan art has me absolutely thrilled! The Xenomorph-spider hybrid is not only visually stunning but also adds a fresh twist to the already terrifying species.

The “Alien” series we’re familiar with today was initially conceived by the late writer Dan O’Bannon and his collaborator Ronald Shusett. They penned the original story, which later became a classic among science fiction and horror films. However, it was Ridley Scott who brought the franchise to prominence with his “Alien” film, and the rest, as we all know, turned into cinematic history.

Over the years, multiple films belonging to this series have been produced, along with several TV shows. The franchise has undergone numerous transformations, and its continuous growth is something that many enthusiastic viewers are thrilled about.

Given this situation, it’s not hard to visualize fans coming up with their own ideas and scenarios using diverse creative avenues. While surfing the web, we stumbled upon an intriguing fan creation that we think you’ll find fascinating too! Enjoy!

The piece of fan art we are talking about is related to a new hypothetical type of Xenomorph hybrid. The Xenomorphs are, of course, the titular aliens from the series, and while the series has introduced some hybrids, it has mostly focused on the evolution of the creature as a separate species.

The primary Xenomorph is the most recognized form of its kind, and various stages of this species have been depicted, particularly earlier versions, in the prequel series that delves into the creature’s overall evolution. In the films, however, we’ve encountered not one but two hybrid variations as well.

Originally, there was a creature resembling a human, known as the Newborn. However, it evolved into an idea that people found less appealing and eventually abandoned.

In the upcoming sequel of Alien: Romulus, we’ll see the introduction of a unique creation called Offspring, resulting from a character consuming the black goo. The evolution of these hybrids throughout the series is yet to be fully understood.

However, no matter what the movie creators produce, it’s clear that enthusiasts are inventing their own hybrid ideas. We thought it would be interesting to pass this along to you.

It’s evident that this depiction showcases a Xenomorph-spider crossbreed, bearing some resemblance to an earlier version of the creature yet distinct in its entirety. This unique creation is novel, and although the fan art does not delve into the hybrid’s background, it’s easy to imagine how such a fusion might have occurred.

It’s uncertain whether anyone will employ this idea in the future, but we wholeheartedly believe it’s impressive enough to encourage movie makers to create this unique blend for us down the line!
