Titled “Attack on Titan: Requiem,” this is a fan-created anime adaptation that offers an entirely different conclusion to the original storyline. A teaser for this intriguing reinterpretation has been released, promising changes from the ending produced by Studio MAPPA. The dedicated fan team, Studio Eclypse, aims to premiere “Requiem” on January 15th, offering an English dub and new voice talents alongside it.

Studio Eclypse, on the other hand, isn’t unfamiliar with hurdles. Previously, they encountered a stir last year when their “Berserk: The Black Swordsman” project was scrapped following objections from Young Animal.
The moment is perfect for something new, especially since creator Hajime Isayama didn’t provide any blueprints for sequels or side stories following the conclusion of the main series. Despite suggesting potential future narratives with the finale, Isayama seems to have employed it more as a symbol of the endless cycle of violence in the world of Attack on Titan.
Yet, he hasn’t completely departed; instead, he delved back into the world with a brief tale titled “Attack on Titan: Bad Boy”, offering a glimpse into Captain Levi’s past, from where I, as a fan, eagerly follow his artistic journey.
As a dedicated fan of the anime series, I must say that “The Last Attack” movie is truly a worthy addition to the franchise. While it doesn’t introduce any new storylines, it skillfully compiles the final episodes into a captivating feature-length film. What sets this movie apart for me, however, is the surprise post-credits scene, which added an exciting twist and left me eagerly anticipating potential future installments. Overall, I highly recommend “The Last Attack” to both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
In this fictional world, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are typical high school students, engrossed in watching “The Last Attack” and expressing their own thoughts about it. Although this particular scene didn’t alter the movie’s major plot points, it offered viewers an enjoyable excuse to go to the cinema.
