Forbes recently reported some exciting news for fans. They suggest that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman might be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner than we thought, potentially starring in the next two family-friendly Avengers films.
If this is accurate, these characters would appear in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel hasn’t revealed much about Secret Wars yet, but Doomsday is already set to have a huge number of Marvel characters involved.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, the movie features a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Tom Hiddleston, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr. The plot unites heroes from the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Wakanda, and other teams to confront the villain Doctor Doom.
Not much is known about Secret Wars yet, but it’s currently scheduled to come out on December 17, 2027. We do know that the original Fantastic Four actors from Doomsday will be back for this film.
According to a new Forbes report, Marvel is planning to continue featuring Deadpool and Wolverine in future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films. Their unexpected appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine greatly contributed to the movie’s success, and Marvel likely wants to build on that positive energy with its upcoming projects.
