Fans hypothesized that this post could be a jab at Katy Perry’s commercial space flight. The brief message, which was up for a short duration, humorously stated, “I’ve held onto flatulence longer than that.

Even though the post was swiftly deleted, copies of it spread across the internet, sparking a variety of responses. One individual posted, “where’s the falsehood in this tweet?”, encapsulating the general view that while the humor might have been brutally honest, it wasn’t entirely off the mark for many fans.

Without Lady Gaga officially commenting on the matter, there’s been plenty of chatter online regarding Katy Perry’s brief space voyage, with some speculating if Gaga was genuinely making fun of her or just joking around.

On April 14th (Monday), Katy Perry embarked on a 10-minute space voyage with Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin. Accompanying them were CBS News anchor Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez, Bezos’ fiancée. The rocket soared beyond the Kármán line, marking the edge of Earth’s atmosphere, before landing securely in Texas.

Various responses on social media ranged from mockery of the brief duration of the trip, to criticism of it as extravagant. One post jested that Katy Perry had emitted more emissions in a single day than Taylor Swift did throughout her entire Eras Tour. Another comment sarcastically pointed out the irony of advocating for Earth’s protection while taking a vanity space flight.

Before embarking on the journey, Perry gave interviews discussing the mission and her new album titled 143. In an interview with AP News, she shared, “I was taking a break from rehearsals for my tour and listening to Carl Sagan’s ‘Cosmos’, as well as reading a book about string theory.

She mentioned that her fascination has long been with astrophysics, astronomy, astrology, and celestial bodies in general. She expressed enthusiasm about witnessing the stars sparkle from that location.

In a space video, Perry revealed her upcoming tour schedule, connecting her journey with her current Lifetimes tour. She shared with Elle that she’s exploring various commercial space travel options, expressing her lifelong dream of venturing into space as an adult.
