Exclusive: Unseen Moana 2 Deleted Scene Featuring Maui – Now on Digital & Blu-ray!

As a true cinema enthusiast, I must say that I was utterly captivated by Disney’s enchanting sequel, Moana 2. Over the festive season, it swept the box office, rekindling the affection of children (and let’s be honest, many adults) for their beloved Polynesian Disney Princess. Joining the ranks of box-office giants like Zootopia, Frozen, and its own prequel Frozen II, as a Walt Disney Animation Studios project that grossed over a billion dollars, this masterpiece is now ready for home viewing. As of now, you can stream it digitally, and on March 18, it will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and the stunningly clear 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format.

Among the various extras in the upcoming film “Moana 2” are several scenes that were initially planned but not included in the final version. One of these omitted scenes is titled “Late to the Party,” which depicts Maui’s arrival on Motunui to join Moana for her new journey, only to find out she had already left. Other deleted scenes from “Moana 2” include “Crew’s In for a Bruisin”, “Help Wanted”, “Odd Birds”, “Reunited”, and “Simea’s Chant.” An exclusive sneak peek of “Late to the Party” is available above.

Here’s the official synopsis from Walt Disney Animation Studios for Moana 2:

In three years time, Moana 2 brings back Moana, portrayed by Auli‘i Cravalho, and Maui, played by Dwayne Johnson, embarking on a grand sea voyage with an assortment of unconventional sailors. Upon receiving an unexpected message from her guiding ancestors, Moana is compelled to set sail towards the distant oceans of Oceania, venturing into perilous and forgotten waters for an adventure unlike any other she’s encountered.

Additional highlights on the Moana 2 DVD are a Full-Length Karaoke Version, encounters with actual navigators from the Polynesian Voyaging Society in “Call of the Wayfinder,” an exclusive look at Moana’s future journey led by filmmakers in “A New Journey,” a behind-the-scenes exploration of the movie’s new tunes called “Sea Melodies,” and “The Kakamora Stories” where Moni, the historian from Motunui, shares tales and legends inspired by real Solomon Island folklore about the enigmatic creatures known as the Kakamora.

Starting today, you have the opportunity to purchase “Moana 2” digitally. The physical versions, including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, will be available from March 18th onwards.
