In a candid interview with TopMob, actor Josh McDermitt, portraying Stuart Lane on Suits LA, shared insights into the series’ link to the original Suits and revealed plans to infuse aspects from the New York universe into the Los Angeles setting.
When queried about the anticipation among fans for recognizing their favorite characters in the upcoming series, Josh readily admitted the enthusiasm of fans to witness Gabriel Macht portraying Harvey Specter in Suits LA.
In other words: Whenever we can pay tribute to the initial series, I believe it’s beneficial. The audience seems thrilled. For instance, one of the episodes where Kevin, portrayed by Troy Winbush, takes a photo from Ted’s desk and there’s an image of Ted and Harvey on it, stirred up excitement among fans. Essentially, any reference or hint is likely to be well-received.
Additionally, the performer suggested there might be more links to come, as he hinted, “We have a few surprises in store, let me tell you that.” This comment made fans speculate whether the character played by Gabriel Macht, Harvey Specter, could show up in Suits LA.
During their private conversation, Josh made it clear that although there’s a West Coast variant existing within the same universe, they have no intention of replicating the original; rather, it stands independently from the initial version.
